Decades of conomic renovation have transformed Vietnam into a lively market. The country now has diplomatic and trade relations with more than 170 countries. With 76 million hard-working and talented people, rich in natural resources, and located in the center of a dynamic economic growth region, Vietnam is an ideal place to visit and to do business.
In February 1995, Vietnam established its Liaison Office in Washington. In August 1995, the Liaison Office was upgraded to an Embassy. Relations between Vietnam and the United States have developed quickly in all fields including diplomatic, economic, scientific and technical cooperation.
