Farmers and scientists have concluded that the loamy soil and mild temperatures combine to give the Vidalia Onion its sweet taste. In fact, the Vidalia Onion can only be grown in 14 southeast Georgia counties and parts of six others.
Our Vidalia Sweet Onions are available in 10, 25 and 40 pound boxes. On the price sheet you will notice a fresh market price and a CA price. The fresh market price is available throughout the month of May. In the past, Vidalias could only be purchased through the harvest season. Now, because of Controlled Atmosphere (CA) storage facilities, the onions can be stored and sold through December (if the supply lasts!). The price increase for stored onions is due to the cost of keeping the onions cool and environmentally protected.
In addition to our onions, we also offer a variety of Vidalia Onion products such as jams, jellies, dressings and relishes. These are available by the case or in a variety of gift boxes.
