Having participated in so many momentous and happy occasions for my sewing clients over the years, I began to wonder how the fabric of our past could be kept nearer and more visible to cheer our hearts daily. Then one day I came across a jean skirt my daughter embroidered at age 5 that for 30 years I had moved coast-to-coast, house-to-house, closet-to-closet.
