About Vernon Development
Vernon Development is a design builder with our emphasis on turnkey projects. We are capable of working with a client from the most infant stages of concept, through design and engineering, all stages of construction to final occupancy. As you will see from our company history, we are a relatively new company started in 1990. We have worked very hard on our projects to build well above and beyond what is considered normal in the industry. We have strived to develop a strong and cooperative relationship with the villages in which we work. In just a very short time we have established a reputation for excellence and attention to detail that far surpasses most of our competitors.
Firm History
Vernon Development was established in 1990 as a design builder, providing complete services in all phases of construction of industrial and commercial properties ranging in size from 5,000 square feet to 250,000 square feet. Our staff will provide assistance in all aspects of design and engineering, space planning and utilization, electrical systems design, engineering and installation; plumbing system design; and heating, air conditioning, and ventilation design and installation.
We also have a group of carpenters, painters, acoustical ceiling specialists, electricians and HVAC technicians that can complete all phases office build out. In addition we provide services in land planning and utilization and have recently finished road and utility improvements on a 50 acre industrial park, known as “Tinley Corporate Center” which now houses such firms as: Andrews Corporation, Igor Inc., American Graphic Systems, Atlas Putty, Benda Manufacturing, Best-Tronics, Mead Ink, Norchem Inc., X-Cel Technologies, Bryco Manufacturing, Quality Business Forms, Label Source, Condor Labels and soon to be occupied Anchor Abrasives. Although we are a relatively new firm, our total construction dollars for 1999 was 12.7 million dollars, which is up significantly from the 1998 sales of just over 11.2 million.
