R.Gliere, Concerto for coloratura soprano and orchestra in F minor, Op. Vera Trifanova: coloratura soprano

Born in Moscow, Russia.

Educated at the Moscow Conservatory Russian Theater Institute, in Professor Yury Grigoryev’s class. Graduated from the institute in 1997 as concert and chamber singer.

Debuted at 19 in Bach’s St. John Passion at the Chaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow.

During my studies and after graduation I performed at various concerts with orchestras directed by Svetlanov, Fedoseyev, Ponkin, Rudin and Trushin as well as with the Antique Music Ensemble directed by Alexey Semyonov.

In 2002, I was awarded a DAAD scholarship and entered the Opera School in Mannheim, Germany.

Since 2003 I have mastered coloratura repertoire.

In 2004 debuted in Opera Theater in Baden-Baden and Staatstheater Heidelberg.

A semi-finalist of the Queen Elizabeth contest in Belgium in 2004.

In 2005 I won the international Viotti vocal contest in Italy

In 2005 won a scholarship for Eric Tappi`s master course in 2005 and performed part of Druzilla in "L'Incoronazione di Popea"Monteverdi , directed by Eric Tappi, in France.

While at Opera School in Mannheim attended master classes by Том Кrause and Claudia Eder.

Graduated cum laude from the Mannheim Opera School in Germany.

Numerous opera and baroque programmes with orchestras directed by such conductors as Klaus Arp, Heinz-Rüdiger Drengemann, Klaus Eisenmann, Ronald Techet, Peter Schumann, Markus Zepp and Volker Christ.

At a jubilee festival in Zwingenberg in 2007 performed the part of Koenigin Der Nacht in Mozarts's Die Zauberfloete.

In 2008 performed in the premiere of «Hands in the cave» by the contemporary composer Carola Gribari in Heidelberg.

In 2009 graduated from the Musikhochschule Mannheim post-graduate department (Prof. Snezana Stamenkovic).

Russian coloratura soprano Vera Trifanova won the 12th International vocal contest “Città di Alcamo”, which took place on 29 September - 4 October, 2009 in in Alcamo, Italy. She was one of the 77 participants from several countries. The contest was judged by an international jury headed by the outstanding soprano singer Raina Kabaivanska.
