- Velocity Internet is Canberra's newest Internet Service Provider. We officially opened our doors after several months of planning and setup and started accepting applications for membership from the public on 16 June 2003. The management team is made up of the original founder of Dynamite Internet, Canberra's largest and most successful ISP. Dynamite Internet was sold in 1999 to eisa Limited, and later to Austar. At the time of the sale, Dynamite had over 15,000 active subscribers, and this is still unmatched by a local ISP several years later. Our aim at Velocity is to reach this target once again, and to do this, we have again brought together part of our original management and systems team members.
