With our external fixation systems you can immobilize bones to allow a fracture to heal. We offer a variety of external fixation systems with custom made pins and haxagonal CFRP rods .External fixation is a method of immobilizing bones to allow a fracture to heal. External fixation is accomplished by placing pins into the bone on both sides of the fracture. The pins are then secured together outside the skin with clamps and rods. The clamps and rods are known as the "external frame." Some of the advantages of external fixation are that it is quickly and easily applied. The hexagonal rod consist of fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) which is a very strong and light material. It is not visible on radiography.
Additional Information
We offer custom made pins with special load-equivalent thread design for any external fixation system.The risk of infection is minimized by using our titan or hydroxyapatite (HA) coated pins.
