Description
Since its inception, Vee Two has been regarded as one of the most sought after and effective after market performance enhancers for Ducati motorbikes. Ducati’s are held in special regard by motorcycle enthusiasts. The nature of some Ducati enthusiasts means that they wish to keep their motorcycles forever. Add to this the fact that Ducati have a reputation for producing exotic, passionate and fast motorcycles as distinct to the sterile mass produced Japanese brands. It was this reputation that provided the impetus for the foundation of Vee Two and remains the single most important reason for its continued growth since.
Managing Director, Brook Henry, first produced parts for his own Ducati motorcycle, due to the unreliability of official Ducati parts, plus the non-availability of such parts generally. As he expanded this service to friends, his and Vee Two's reputation grew. In 1991 Vee two beat the official works teams from major motorcycle manufacturers from around the world with a motorcycle of its own design - the Alchemy - at one of the peak racing events – “The battle of the Twins” at Daytona establishing the company, and its founder, for once and for all in the top league of the motorcycle industry.
This was cemented by Ducati's decision to cease manufacture of its unique bevel-drive engines in favour of a belt-drive design. In so doing it turned its back on the bevel-drive, to the extent of ceasing production of replacement parts. Vee Two has subsequently become the largest manufacturer in the world of bevel parts at a time when more and more enthusiasts are seeking to restore bevel-drive Ducatis.
