Title
Victoria Cricket Club
Description
There are 2 teams and each team has eleven players. Each team takes one turn to bat and bowl (Not like baseball where you have 9 innings, in cricket you only have 1 for each team.) The batting side uses two players at each end of the wicket. The bowling side uses one bowler while the remaining 10 players are fielders. The object of the game is to score more runs than your opponent.
There is a run scored each time the batsman hits the ball and runs the 22 yards to the return crease. His partner runs in the opposite direction to reach the other batting crease. This batsman now prepares of the next delivery.
There is no limit to the number of runs that can be scored off each delivery. If the ball reaches the boundary the batsman is awarded four runs. If the ball reaches the boundary without hitting the ground, the batsman is awarded six runs. Most players excel at either batting or bowling. Those who excel at both, are known as all-rounders.
