The Varsity Blues intercollegiate program is one of the largest and most successful university sport programs in North America, offering 46 men's and women's teams in a total of 26 sports. The University of Toronto Varsity Blues legacy and experience are unmatched at any Canadian university.
The Varsity Blues program provides students with the unique opportunity to pursue a favorite sport and a challenging academic program at Canada's pre-eminent research university. More than 800 students wear the recognizable blue and white uniform of the Varsity Blues and earn the right to represent U of T locally, provincially, nationally and internationally.
U of T teams have won every major Canadian university sporting championship over the past century, from football's Vanier Cup to women's ice hockey. Varsity Blues swimmers have the longest running championship record of any swim team in Canada and several hundred members of Varsity Blues teams have qualified for Olympic Games and FISU (international university) Games, as well as Commonwealth and Pan Am Games.
