Vacuist was founded in Los Angeles in 2009 by Charles Edward Taylor (Chuck Taylor) . Chuck was born in New York but moved to Illinois in 1995 to study film & sound at The Art Institute of Chicago. He now lives in Los Angeles where he produces his music & film. Chuck's songs and voice have been compared to Jeff Buckley and Radiohead, two of his major influences. Much of his early influence came from shoegazer bands like The Verve, especially in their album, Storm in Heaven.
