United Way of Merrimack Valley - Making a Differen
Description
United Way of Merrimack Valley, a non-profit organization, raises funds which this year will be distributed to 100 health and human service programs serving 33 communities located in Northeastern Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire.
United Way works closely with local communities and partner agencies to determine a community's particular needs and where assistance will be most effective.
Trained United Way volunteers work together in the fall to raise funds needed to support over 100 programs at 51 local agencies. In the spring, another group of trained volunteers review agency program proposals and make funding recommendations that focus on key Community Investment Areas:
