- The Urban Co-operative Bank Limited, Cuttack was started functioning on 14th September, 1981 with its Head Office at Tinikonia Bagicha, Buxi Bazar, Cuttack-753001 after being registered under Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Orissa, Bhubaneswar vide Registration No. 20CU/CTCL/l.l.1981. This Bank was initially started with share capital of Rs.2,33,OOO.OO collected from 772 Members and has been adorning the status of the largest urban cooperative bank of the state as well as of the eastern region since decades together. Since inception, it. has been functioning with an aim for providing financial assistance to the urban poor for their upliftment through its micro finance activities. It has expanded its business through its sixteen branches and two extension counters spread over urban areas of undivided Cuttack district. It has also proposed to seek the permission for expanding its area of operation to all the urban areas of the state before the registering as well as licensing authorities. It is now running with working capital of Rs.440.90 Cr., deposit of Rs.364.97Cr. and loans & advances of Rs.257.22 Cr.
