Urban Mission®, located in Steubenville, Ohio, provides food, shelter and other essential services to the low income population of the Steubenville, OH - Weirton, WV, metro area of 134,000 people. Beginning as "Mill Men's Hostel" in 1959, Urban Mission has grown to become the largest charity in the Upper Ohio River Valley. Local steel mills which once employed more than 32,000 workers have seen total employment decline to under 3,000.
