Description
Eric Carr founded UP!Postle Ministries as an outreach to members of America Online who were searching for a deeper relationship with God and the manifestations of His grace, through our redemption in Jesus Christ. It all began in 1997 with letters of teaching and encouragement going out about twice a month to just a handful of AOL members. Since then it has grown to include this Web site, international e-mail and postal mail versions of the letters, now sent out weekly, a prayer team, a prison ministry, and more - all without any kind of promotion or advertisement whatsoever. Another of our ministries is UP!Holding for the Fatherless and the Widow, an outreach, assistance, and advocacy program for orphans, the isolated, disabled, and the elderly. UP!Postle Ministries is also part of a network of strong churches and ministries around the world, spreading the Gospel through partnership and friendship. We are also actively involved in the discipleship, teaching, and support of ministers and leaders from all walks of life and ministry, from American Youth Pastors to Bishops in Africa. Mostly, Eric and the UPM staff are concerned with being good neighbors and walking the teachings of Jesus however they can.
UP!Postle Ministries also has an award-winning art ministry, called UP!Lifting, and has produced fine art and Web design for churches, corporations, and ministries across America as well as fine art for private homes. We believe the arts cross all denominational, religious, social, and political boundaries and are avenues for the Holy Spirit to express Himself in environments where His other manifestations may not be understood or received. We have formed this arts mission to bring the prophetic arts and worship back into the church and are claiming music, dance, mime, drama, and many other forms of both static and kinetic arts for God and for the Church.
While UP!Postle Ministries promotes purity, faith, and a living relationship with the Holy Spirit, we are an open and affirming organization, welcoming ALL people interested in a deep relationship with our Father and Savior, regardless of their denominations, circumstances, state of growth, background, status, or personal lives. There are no requirements whatsoever for our friendship, and we gladly welcome everyone to our community.
