It's been a while since I've posted to the main site. For upto date news, we always suggest you read the forums. But for those who don't wish to or are just tuning in, here's a summary of the major events over the past few months

Server updates. We got a better server for Demise. We're now running on Hybrid's old machine, Dual Hyperthreaded 3.2 Ghz Xeons, a whopping 8 gigs of Ram, Raid 5 of 15k rpm Hard drives, and a gigabit connection to the internet. Of course we need this to support our 51,000 Player characters, 28,000 accounts and nearly 3 million items.

This means UOGamers: Demise is running on the 2nd most powerful free-shard hardware (behind only our Sister shard, Hybrid), and the most powerful freeshard server for it's era. Yes, it's the same machine that was successfully stresstested to 8,000 simultaneous users back on Hybrid.
