- Diane founded Unleashed Adventures in the 90s after a decade spent working as a travel writer and photographer. A Jersey girl with the maiden name “Rover” she was indeed “Born to Run”. Her travels have taken her all over the world and back. She believes strongly in the rewards of womens-only travel and the need for balance in life, especially when it comes to family. Diane, a mother of three daughters herself, feels most alive when she’s off adventuring in some far-flung remote destination. “As nurturers, women usually fall short when it comes to their own needs which most often go unchecked and result in all sorts of negative consequences. When we take a break from our routines and push ourselves physically and mentally, we most often discover a new source of strength and clarity. It’s a win-win for family and self.” An AIDS activist who loves cooking, vegetable gardening and water skiing, Diane is also a passionate photographer whose work has been widely exhibited and published.
