Description
I have always loved cats, growing up with them when I was young. Indeed I feel there is a great deal of truth in the saying, “a house is not a home without a cat”.
I currently share my home with my husband, Nick, and my delightful black and white moggie, Jordan. It was, in fact, Jordan who steered me down this path when for no apparent reason (or so I thought at the time) he began spraying inside the house. Like most cat lovers I didn’t mind cat hair on the furniture, dirty paw prints on the windows and windowsills and frequently finding balls of paper and dried cat food under the fridge but I drew the line at the distinctive smell of cat urine pervading our home.
I began thinking about why he was doing this and came to the conclusion that this was his way of dealing with something he was finding stressful. The question I then had to answer was what?! I knew the sooner I attempted to understand his behaviour and how I could resolve the situation the better, so began to research this problem. I soon found myself completely hooked on the fascinating and complex subject of cat behaviour and so the foundations of my new career were built.
