The Union Bridge Fire Co., Inc. organized in 1887. The town and community are located on the Carroll/Frederick County border in Maryland. Known as Carroll County Station 8, this primarily volunteer organization provides Fire, Rescue and Emergency Medical Services to approximatly 3,000 citizens in both Carroll and Frederick County. We have an engine, engine/tanker, rescue squad, brush unit, utility and an ambulance(Advanced Life Support). Our EMS system is a paid service with employees working 24 on/ 72 off. We also pay part-time drivers (Engineers) on weekdays for 10 hours.
We receive funding from both state and county governments as well as fundraising events and EMS insurance billing. The EMS billing finances supplement our paid EMS service.
