Description
Your Local Union is a combination of working men and women who are employed primarily in the retail and wholesale food industry.
In recent years we have expanded our membership parameters to include insurance carriers, barbers, and cosmetologists, and a variety of commercial type workers. Our territorial jurisdiction extends from Kingston, New York as northern point to Barnegat, New Jersey as a southerly point. The east/west boundaries are the Atlantic Ocean to the Delaware River. In addition, we represent members in all of Westchester County, portions of New York City and Long Island.
Your Local Union has 12 union delegates on the road, constantly visiting stores and servicing members. In addition to the delegates, there are several membership service representatives who visit the stores during evening and weekends, thereby developing a full schedule of coverage.
