Description
One of the old established names of football in Tyldesley has been re-formed. Tyldesley United last played competitive football in 1998. Ath the end of that season they were forced to resign, owing to lack of playing facilities.
The club has started afresh, and newly elected Club Secretary Mr Joe Hall, (former Secretary of the Manchester Football League), says these are exciting times for the reformation of this old established club.
Tyldesley United will play season 2003-4 in the Lancashire Amateur League, and will share facilities with Tyldesley Rugby Union Club at St George's Park, Tyldesley. A common theme shared with the Rugby Club will be the choice of Blue and White, as the team's home colours. An away kit of Amber and Grey has been selected. Both kits are supplied by Leigh based specialist Tour Operator, Emagine UK Ltd.
