MC Mario, who is inducted into the Canadian Dance Hall of Fame, is well known for his live DJ prowess, for producing and hosting a nationally-syndicated radio show Mixdown & Partymix in 24 cities across Canada, the USA, Brazil and Antigua and collecting the world’s biggest hits for his line of compilation albums. He has sold well over 2 million albums in Canada throughout his career and has produced and remixed some of Canada’s top dance hits.
One may think that he has done it all! But no, just recently MC Mario became co-owner of Club 1234 (www.1234montreal.com) in Montreal, Quebec. Known for its lifestyle, nightlife and attractive people, Montreal has always been at the forefront of dance music and club culture. During the height of the disco craze, 1234 was open seven nights a week entertaining every celebrity visiting Montreal. It was not uncommon to spot the nightlife icons of those days, such as The Village People, Donna Summer and Grace Jones.
