Description
Twirp.Net was created out of a 14 year-old's desire to have his own website. After a bit of practice, and a lot of errors, Twirp.Net has turned into what it is today. Twirp.Net was purchased Feb 4 2004 at SurpassHosting. It has grown, from being a personal site, to being a resource for people to download images, layouts, and anything else Twirp feels like adding. Twirp.Net originally only used HTML, but after Twirp used a tagboard that was powered by PHP, he decided to learn PHP and let it do everything nessacary for Twirp.Net.
A young, computer-illiterate Miles needed a screen name for AIM. Since he did not contain the knowledge of how to sign-up at differnt websites, he asked his sister to do it for him. Thebad news is that he was annoying his sister earlier that day and she registed the screen name LittleTwirpinBoy. And ever since then, he has had the nickname Twirp. In early 2003, he came accross the site DayDreamGraphics. He liked the site and decided that he wanted to do something like it. He tried several free hosts like Geocities and 150m but did not like them. In late 2003, he was determined to find an affordable host that his parents would be willing to pay for. He did a lot of research, and foun SurpassHosting, Netrillium, and DreamHost. He picked SurpassHosting because his friend was hosted by them, and they were cheap. He would like to try DreamHost as well because they have cheap prices, and some of his new friends are hosted by them. After a while, Twirp wanted to start hosting people, but could not afford the plans. He moved to a cheaper host called ICanaHost where he bought a reseller accound and now hosts people. In mid June, he decided to move back to SurpassHosting where he has 2 reseller accounts with more space and bandwidth.
