Turkish Cultural Foundation
The Turkish Cultural Foundation was established on January 1, 2000 in Washington,DC.
The Foundation's main goals can be summarized as:
Promoting and preserving Turkish culture and heritage worldwide, through original programs and cooperation with like minded organizations. Supporting research, documentation and publication in the humanities related to Turkey. Supporting education, particularly in the area of humanities, for disadvantaged students in Turkey. Supporting the preservation of Turkish cultural heritage abroad. Helping to build cultural bridges between Turkey and other countries to support a better understanding and appreciation of Turkish cultural heritage.
The Foundation is a US tax-exempt public charitable organization supported entirely by private donations, with offices in Boston, Washington DC and Istanbul.

Turkish Culture Portal
Created and maintained by the Turkish Cultural Foundation, www.turkishculture.org highlights some of the distinct characteristics and qualities of Turkish Culture and its contributions to human work and thought.
Turkish Music Portal
In January 2006, the Turkish Cultural Foundation inaugurated the first educational site dedicated to Turkish music. Featuring information on the history, genres, instruments, performers etc. of Turkish music through the ages, Turkish Music Portal was created by the Foundation in cooperation with a team of Turkish music experts.This site is available in Turkish, English, French and German.
Turkish Cuisine Portal
In addition to offering recipes on traditional Turkish dishes, the site is an information source on the history and living traditions of Turkish cuisine, and elaborates on the various regional cuisines in Turkey today. The site features information on the cuisines of Central Asian Turks, such as Uzbek, Kazakh, Turkmen, Azerbeijani and Kirghiz and their influences on Turkish cuisine; provides information on the history of Turkish cuisine, including Seljuk and Ottoman cuisine through the help of historical documents; offers information on the influences and interactions of different ethnic cuisines, such as Arab, Greek, Circassian, Armenian, Georgian, Balkan and Crimean cuisines on Turkish cuisine, and gives insights on the importance of food in Turkish cultural and religious Turkish traditions.
People to People
TCA brings people together for personal cultural exchanges between the peoples of Turkey and the US, through 4 projects under the following titles; Teachers Study Tours to Turkey, Museum Staff Exchanges, Lecture Series Project and Cultural Tours.
Who is Who
An online database and resource of living Turkish artists and artisans in Turkey and around the world - an extensive "Who's Who" of Turkish arts and culture is under construction.
