Occupying a half city block in Tulsa's historic downtown, the Performing Arts Center is the design of Minoru Yamasaki, architect of the World Trade Center. Constructed in 1977 with a combination of public and private funds, the facility is operated by The City of Tulsa and supported by the Tulsa Performing Arts Center Trust. Local arts organizations, entertainment promoters, performers and the citizens of Tulsa are the PAC's customers.
The Tulsa Performing Arts Center houses five theatres and a large reception hall. More than a quarter of a million people visit the Center each year to attend a performance from one of Tulsa's acclaimed arts groups, to sample national and international talent, and to view the PAC's extensive art collection.
