Additional Information

Truehome.net is a web-based software application developed by Nidiant Corporation to serve as a "total solution" for consumers looking to change their living space by any method (buy, remodeling, redecorate, design and build, or even fantasizing about a dream home).

The website is now in a non-public beta state - but expects to reach a limited launch in the Fall of 2009. It will be the first online application of "human factors" criteria development on the web. The approach - developed by its CEO, Christopher K. Travis - and a team that includes prominent psychologist, Sam Gosling, Ph.D. and neuropsychologist Cecil Reynolds, Ph.D.

The process is multi-disciplinary - and uses ideas, research and techniques from psychology, system science, behavioral economics, environmental psychology, infomatics (user interface and user experience), ergonomics and architectural programming. It's exercises collect not only conscious preferences - but emotional, intiutive and sub-conscious information to help users and professionals predict compatible environments for specific individual and families.

Christopher K. Travis is a writer, theorist, builder and designer who is also the Managing Partner of [Sentient Architecture, LLC] at http://www.sentientarchitecture.com. His approach to architecture has been the subject of major stories nationally and internationally including in the New York Times. He blogs at http://architecture-of-life.blogspot.com

The Truehome approach to design has been used for over a decade within that design/build firm and has been used to create many homes and other living and working spaces.

Truehome.net - though based on that patent-pending approach - will expand the technique in a variety of ways in the web-based version. The site will offer not only Truehome exercises - both free and paid - that help people enhance the prediction of a fitting home environment, but will also help consumers identify compatible professionals to implement the design and purchase criteria it reports.

The website will offer a web 2 collaborative web space that allows users, their friends and "accepted professionals" to work together online to develop criteria for design.

The site will also offer a targeted pay per click style advertising model for home products and services - and a marketplace for REALTORS, architects, interior designers - and unique to Truehome - wellness professionals like therapists, psychologists and coaches.
