I have been fishing the rivers and spring creeks of Southwest Wisconsin, Southeast Minnesota, and Northeast Iowa for 15 years. These are some of the richest waters anywhere in the nation. Most of our Coulee Country rivers are tiny compared to the western standards.
I specialize in making light line rods for finicky trout, but I can accommodate most anglers from bass to steelhead. Many of the rods I craft are from medium modulus blanks, and I also have rediscovered the beauty of fiberglass for short, delicate, dryfly rods. I feel that these blanks excel at "close quarter" fishing. Not only are they more durable than their high modulus siblings, they are more forgiving, allowing you to protect those 7x tippets.
I try to upgrade all components on my rods, and sell them for factory prices or a little higher, depending on how high tech you would like to go. These rods will out perform the mass produced factory rods. Each is spined and carefully hand wrapped, with two thin coats of epoxy applied.
