Dr. Tom Gibson is one of the most sought after Brass performers and teachers in the country. He has performed solo recitals, concerts, master classes, and clinics around the world. He enjoys a triple threat career as a celebrated Trombonist, Conductor, and as a teacher/coach. Dr. Gibson is a Performing Artist for the Conn Corporation and proudly performs on his Conn 88H. His degrees are from University of Michigan (B.M.), University of Northern Colorado (M.M.), and The Catholic University of America (D.M.A.).
Dr. Gibson is presently the Coordinator of the Brass Department at Georgia State University School of Music in Atlanta. At GSU, he maintains a studio of 15 outstanding trombonists and directs the GSU Brass Ensemble and Trombone Choir. In addition, Dr. Gibson also teaches Brass Techniques and Computer Applications in Music.
