- Tiroler Röhren- und Metallwerke AG (TRM) was founded in 1947 and for decades has been one of the top European manufacturers of ductile iron. Today TRM is Austria's largest producer of ductile iron. Over 350 tons of ductile iron are smelted daily in the TRM hot-blast cupola furnaces, using state of the art processes and controls to produce superior quality ductile iron products which are used worldwide. At the present time TRM's annual sales exceed 100 million Euros. In 1996 TRM was purchased by Buderus Guss GmbH, a major German Group. Buderus is also active internationally in the production and sale of pipe materials.
