The Trinity Engine is a next generation engine that for once is aimmed at the bed-room programmer, just like us, rather than costing 5million bucks and a sample of your dna. It is 100% Managed C# and OpenGL, therefore 100% cross-platform, runnable on any system capable of executing either Mono executables(I.e mac/linux/ps3/and many many others) or at the last, a copy of windows with micrsoft net 3.5 installed.

If features beautiful graphics, effects and design. It will be like the good old days, where ideas drove design, when the only question was, what should I do, not how should I do it.

Full support for all next generation OpenGL2.0 features, such as Pixel Buffer Objects, Frame Buffer Objects, Multiple Render Targets, Full optimized plugin based deferred shading system.

The engine can be completely data driven, content-wise, thanks to it's wide range of custom xml based formats from everything for shaders to materials, to fully animated and texture 3d models. Or you can go old-skool, and have some fun creating everything by hand in code. Either way is very very easy. The engine is easier to use than say Blitz3D, yet, many many times more powerful.

Blitz3D is still a wonderful engine for it's time, so don't knock it.
