Description
About Trinity Episcopal Cathedral
Trinity Cathedral is home to a diverse congregation of 700; we are people of different ages, socioeconomic status, races, and sexual orientations. Some of us have been Episcopalians and Trinity members for many years while others of us are new to the Episocopal Church and to this congregation. We come from across northeastern Ohio: some of us can walk to Trinity, while others drive nearly an hour to attend church. Newcomers tell us that they are drawn to Trinity by the friendliness and diversity of the people, the beauty of the building and the worship, the excellent preaching, the music program and the congregation's commitment to ministry in the heart of the city.
Trinity Cathedral is the Cathedral of the Episcopal Diocese of Ohio, which represents over 24,000 Episcopalians from 103 parishes in the northern half of Ohio. The Cathedral is the symbolic center of the Diocese and the seat of its Bishop, currently the Right Reverend Mark Hollingsworth, Jr., the Eleventh Bishop of Ohio. Each year Trinity hosts many Diocesan events including confirmations, youth retreats, clergy days and the annual Diocesan convention each November.
Trinity Cathedral is the Cathedral of the Episcopal Diocese of Ohio. Located in downtown Cleveland at the environmentally-friendly Trinity Commons, the Cathedral is the spiritual home of an active and diverse congregation and a hub for worship, community outreach, education, and social justice work.
