- Trickwood was formed in 2002 by Steve Baldwin, a burrito aficionado and skateboard enthusiast originally from Minnesota. After moving to the Seattle area just a year earlier, Steve had a brief failed career as a butcher (no, really), and he found himself with the chance to open a skate shop. Those first couple of years saw many shops in Seattle come and go, but Trickwood was able to grow thanks to a great young team and lots of loyal customers, who came from miles around to get their fix of legit brands and solid love for our custys. Today, Trickwood specializes in: A) products you can’t buy at the mall or in wack shops, B) sponsoring talented young athletes from the area, and C) promoting real skateboarding.
