Trat The small town of Trat is the administrative and trading centre of Trat province. It is Located 20 km. away from Laem Ngop, the departure point for passenger ferries to the islands. Trat has a population of 200,000 but bustles with activity due to the numerous local markets.
Trat of interests include the Laem Sok, Ao Tan, Lan Sai Beach, the Saphan Hin Waterfall and Thai Red Cross Society’s Khao Lan Center (also called Racha-karoon Center) which houses a museum featuring the history, lifestyle and household items of Cambodian refugees. All these are along the Trat-klong Yai Road and within 50 kms from the center of Trat town.
