Notes for May 1st, 2006. Wow. It has been an entire year since my last official update. And I don't have much to offer this time around, either! We should all be used to this 'new format, new attitude' by now. The 'Lessons' are gone, and now you wallow through completely self-sufficient 'sections'. You can simply look up information about speakers, as an example, and learn to your heart's content. Other than that, up until now I have done quite a few 'secret updates' over the past few weeks (as I like to do), which was mostly adding new bits of Vintage Advertising, and more information and pictures of my tube tester collection. I added a few more oscilloscope examples to the biasing pages, which are always fun to read. And, against all odds, I managed to locate a few more 'new' tube boxes for you to see. There will be a few very secretly added bits of information. The only hints I will give you is that they have to with oscilloscopes and vacuum tubes! I also tried my best to correct any and all technical errors. If you see any errors (spelling, grammar, technical points), please let me know. These pages will be even more interesting to read when the technical accuracy as well as the presentation are as close to perfect as humanly possible. I am starting to take out opinionated, vituperative rants, and hope to add a more professional appearance to these pages. If I disagree with any certain Internet 'guru' about tube amplifier philosophy, I will argue my point in a mature fashion. And I hope anyone who disagrees with me will show the same courtesy.
As I expand these pages I realize it can sometimes get bogged down by being 'all over the place'. I ask your patience, and if you have a problem trying to follow anything, please let me know, and I'll have your concern addressed ASAP. You may (or may not) have noticed 'secret' updates happening; I will always make corrections and clean up large graphics. This is all for your benefit, and although not as much fun as an 'official' update, I still think you'll appreciate the 'improvements'. Do let me know what you think!
