Tom Edwards was born and raised in the town of Bala, Muskoka and worked for many years as a builder. In 1963 he opened his first Real Estate Office as a one room office in front of his home on Main Street. The company was J.A. WILLOUGHBY & SONS, which later merged with GIBSON BROTHERS to become GIBSON WILLOUGHBY REALTOR.
In 1973 Tom Edwards decided to go on his own and he opened the Real Estate Office in Bala Muskoka, TOM EDWARDS, REALTOR. In 1976 the name was incorporated to TOM EDWARDS LTD. In 1978 the office was extended and enlarged and the SIGN BOARD was incorporated in front of the office.
