Furthermore, this website uses a database to run itself. Everything from the classifieds to the events calendar run from a database of information. The database is updateable. No, you don't have to upload your database everyday. You simply fill out short forms on your web browser (Netscape or Internet Explorer) and the database is automatically updated. No FTP, no uploading, no downloading.
Secondly, the site uses a internet language called ASP (active server pages). What do these do? Basically the pages you see on this website all end in '.asp'. What does ASP do? ASP detects your browser and then writes the HTML that displays what you see. As you know all webpages are written HTML, but the difference is that ASP writes the HTML on the fly, based on your input and the data returned from the database.
