Description
Development in Tomoka Heights began in 1982 on a 190 acre beautifully treed parcel of land located on the Lake Wales Ridge approximately 135 feet above sea level. Both single family and attached patio homes were built.
All Tomoka Heights homes are within an easy walk of Lake Henry and the community's lakeside pavilion. Residents enjoy the views, which include lovely sunsets.
However, in 1990 due to increased demand for permanent homes, development changed almost exclusively to single family 2 and 3 bedroom homes. Tomoka Heights Sections I through VIII were completed in 1998 and a new phase, Section IX containing 61 lots began. Tomoka Heights presently has 327 residences; build-out will be 450-475 homes.
