TNDucks.com was hatched on a slow day in the duck blind, by Jim Durrett & Jeff Truitt, as a project by two avid hunters from Tennessee. We wanted to provide a place that would attract other waterfowl hunters from around the state so that we could talk, share ideas and reports from across the state and adjoining states. We know that there are many opportunities to spend our time and money chasing waterfowl and game in other states but because we are Tennessee boys, we wanted a place we could call home.
Jim Durrett was born and raised in Clarksville Tennessee and has the advantage of having a wonderful dad who helped him foster his love of the outdoors. With yearly trips to Texas, the occasional Montana Elk hunt and many, many days in the field across Tennessee hunting everything from crows to whitetail, Jim brings a lot of knowledge and experience to the table. Jim is a no-nonsense hunter who holds true to the “old school” forms of hunting, and brings that style to the site.
Jeff was born in Birmingham Alabama and was brought to Tennessee in 1991 compliments of Uncle Sam. He also lives in the Clarksville area, duck hunts primarily around Dover and Land Between the Lakes, and deer or turkey hunts wherever he can get a spot. Jeff loves to duck hunt like the rest and is hard to find when the weather gets cold and in the spring when the shock gobbles start to fill the mornings.
