As part of test marketing,Blaupunkt was introduced only at Bangalore and widely accepted, in order to ascertain the type of field complaints that are likely to be reported, on this sophisticated car audio system for the initial period of a year, all car audio systems referred under complaint were brought to Bangalore for investigation. This gave vital information about customer expectation, product performance, product reliability, valuable information about their use/misuse and the like, to enable to adapt the product and make it suitable for Indian conditions and Indian roads.
Having gained this experience, it was decided to set up an Authorised Service Centre in Bangalore of service requirements of those sets sold in Bangalore. One such, first of its kind, TMC Electronics was inaugurated in Bangalore on July 8, 1998.
