Sunset Automotive Publications began in 1990 as an outgrowth of Sunset Custom Glass Tinting in Pleasanton, CA. All of our products came from my experience in running two window tinting companies during a 10 year period, and focus on the technical requirements of professional window
In 1988 I assembled all of the notes I had saved over the years as a window tinter and compiled them into the first edition of the AWT Installation Manual. In 1992 our first Auto Tint Video was produced and that was followed by the Basic Manual in 1993, which is the companion to the video. In 1994 in response to many requests from our customers work began on a software version of the popular AWT Manual for glass tinting. In May of 1997 we published our web page and in 1998 the first version of the Win-tint software appeared, in 38 floppy disks!
IN 1999 we purchased our current R/C Video from Dan Hallas at Sun Control, CA to complete our training tapes. We are a Christian company, and committed to representing Christ in the marketplace. Look for more glass tinting products from us as we attempt to meet the need for quality technical/training solutions in auto and R/C window tinting.
