A Family BusinessIn 1985, Ivor Spiro purchased a small school tie-weaving mill in Pietermaritzburg, outside Durban, South Africa. Seventeen years later, the company relocated to Sandton, Gauteng and is one of the most modern and sophisticated tie-weaving plants in the world. Today, Tie Weavers South Africa is owned and managed by his son, Graham. Graham is responsible for sales and marketing as well as production planning.
