- Welcome to Thidwick Kennels, home of top ranked show and obedience Dalmatians for more than twenty years. We are not a high-volume breeder. We breed a litter of puppies occasionally for the purpose of improving the breed and proving our stock is worthy of being bred by winning in the conformation and obedience ring. All our dams are AKC champions or obedience titled and the same is true for the studs we choose. Our top producing dam has both conformation and obedience titles (Championship and Companion Dog Excellent). Each breeding is evaluated for prospective attributes of health, temperament, and structure. Necessary health tests are conducted prior to a breeding (hearing, hips, and complete blood workup). After the litter has arrived there is dew claw removal, deworming, and vaccinations. We photograph and videotape each puppy to aid in our evaluation. All puppies are B.A.E.R (brainstem auditory evoked response) hearing tested prior to going into their new homes as all Dalmatian puppies should be. These tests are the sign of a serious, responsible breeder. Use it as your guide to finding the breeder of your perfect pup.
