Dr. Ed Smith is the developer of the Theophostic Ministry process. He is a pastoral counselor with a masters degree in education (focus in marriage and family counseling) from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX and a doctorate in Pastoral Ministry from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO. He has completed work toward his Doctorate of Education in marriage and family counseling.
Along with his personal ministry load he leads training seminars in Theophostic Ministry across the nation for counselors, pastors and other helping professionals. Literally thousands of people are now successfully using the principles of Theophostic Ministry as a result of attending this training. He owns and operates the Alathia Equipping Center located in Campbellsville, Kentucky, which provides advanced training in Theophostic Ministry.
His Ministry career includes 17 years of service to local Southern Baptist churches in different pastoral positions prior to developing Theophostic Ministry in 1996. He and his wife, Sharon (28 years married), also have led Marriage Enrichment conferences across the country (The Basic Ingredients for a Happy Marriage).
