The following information has been received this week (ending 17 July 2009) regarding the continuing spread of Fuchsia Gall Mite: “We received our first UK report of FGM for this year. I confirmed this finding from a sample received this morning (13/07/2009). A single affected plant was found in a garden in Isleworth, Middlesex, about 2 miles north of where FGM was found in 2007, in Teddington.
