To begin with the history of the viper files we would have to go way back about 2 and ½ years ago when viper and I met. We met in a game of halo 2 and at first we didn’t really like each other but we were in the same clan called the Overdoses. One night one of us joined each others game and we played on the map waterworks all night I mean all night long.
We eventually thought it would be cool to create a halo website. We first used Tripod as our initial site. Our original halo site was located at http://h2glitches101.tripod.com/ which now redirects to the viper files. It was a halo 2 glitching site and at its peak reached an average of about 250 unique hits a day.
We eventually ended up putting a forum for that site that was made by proboards. It was funny we ended up getting around 2000 members however which was quite good… but that was after a year and 1/2 of having the site. Anyway eventually halo 2 got old and we got xbox 360’s and we eventually wanted to make a halo 3 site.
We bought the domain… to bad I was high that day and spelt the name of the site wrong… it was suppose to be halo3source.com but I spelled it halo3scource.com. Of course we were letting good server space just go to waste… Viper3773 had been getting into the whole warez scene and I decided it would be cool if we could create a site that people could download warez from.
Viper uploaded the forum files and we then began to start the long, time consuming job of getting the site to take off if you will.
We originally just uploaded our files onto our server and our homepage was totally dysfunctional and there was no way of organizing our files. We thought it would be cool to make a forum that we could use for anyone who wanted to post their own files or what not. Thus the forum was created.
The website was a mess and we didn’t know what to do… we eventually had around 100+ members and we decided that managing our own files on our site would be a pain in the ass so instead we would have someone else do it.
We ended up getting a guy by the name of gator to take a hold of the task. He gladly took it and transferred his website to our server. After a while we decided that we didn’t want him to do it anymore. Well one of us made a mistake and accidently deleted his site off the server.
He was extremely pissed and filed a report with our hosting provider, and they suspended us for about a day while we deleted the warez off of our site. See we can’t host the files on our site but we can display links to other places to download the warez. That is one of the main reasons we use rapidshare.
Anyway the site began to develop rapidly after that. People started to submit there downloads, and now we have more than 3,500 members.
We are looking forward to progressing with all our members and we hope that we can become a huge success story.
