Mr. Mole's house in the children's story "Wind in the Willows," was the inspiration for the naming of the magical gift shop, THE MOLE HOLE. The original store was opened in Michigan by former school teacher, Jack Harris, in an underground shop beneath the local general store. The name, coupled with that original location, perpetuated a fairytale magic that carries over into its sister stores today. Owner, Linda Kopperud, has a background in the corporate world.
