- the story of the little idiot collective all began in early 1982. it was but a doodle. actually plenty of doodles. in the 80s when people still bought records, bags were bigger and there was more space to be covered. some people mourn the loss of album art, but others mourn the loss of the personal eccentric touches of johnny's records. johnny's records was none other than the creative incubator that gave birth to to the 'little idiot'. every bag that left johnny's records had a personal drawing, so 17 year old richard hall (aka moby) honed in on his doodlin' skillz. this simple antennaed character is who we now know as the little idiot.
