- The site was created in early 2009, after a couple of months of development. It uses a modified version of the polular Avarcade CMS and has a wide variety of games available.
- Whoopty: Jon "Whoopty" Martindale is the joint owner and admin of TheGameCade, as well as XSReviews.co.uk, xsrcomputers.co.uk and techseed.co.uk. He is responsible for finding games to put on the site, as well as all PR and marketing for the site.
