Donning the casual yet timeless blazers-with-jeans look, the fun-loving and award-winning Binghamton Crosbys are the only all-male a cappella group at Binghamton University. Since their 1983 inception, it has been a tradition to have a great time both on and off stage, as well as ensuring that their audiences enjoy themselves just as much. In pursuit of this goal, the Crosby repertoire combines stunning musicality with absurd tomfoolery in perfect balance. In addition to singing nationwide as the appointed ambassadors of Binghamton University, the Crosbys also take the time to perform at benefits to support local organizations and student groups in need of funding, as well as traveling far and wide to appear as guest groups for other college a-cappella groups.Bigger, louder, and downright zanier than the rest of these side shows, however, is the big Jamboree held every semester in which the Crosbys
showcase everything they've got in them, singing until all vocal chords are but frayed strands of wispy threads. Every winter break heralds the commencement Crosby winter tour, in which The Crosbys cast aside any worldly comforts and live the life of a veritable boy band as they sing in high schools across New York State.
Although the members and the song choice change along with the dynamic of the group, The Crosbys are proud of their 20 year history, knowing full well the standards they must live up to once their shirts have been buttoned and shoelaces tied (sometimes incorrectly). A responsibility to sing without stopping for water, a determination to sleep in the back of a pickup truck in 20 degree weather for a road show, a necessity to go out on stage in front of hundreds of people and behave like a complete and utter buffoon with no shame - These arethe honored
