As South Carolina was struggling to recover from the traumatic years of The Great Depression, the citizens of Olanta longed for a local financial institution. Many were beginning to dream again and set financial goals, but they needed a bank nearby, one operated by people they knew and trusted. When a bank was established for them in 1943, it could only be named The Citizens Bank. And the citizens were very pleased with the unique style of personal, courteous, efficient service they received.
Today, more than 60 years later, The Citizens Bank still operates upon these same principles of service and commitment to our customers. Taking time to give each customer the personal attention they need may seem old-fashioned in today's fast paced business world. Even so, at The Citizens Bank, we feel it's important to let our customers know they are important to us. That's just our style.
